Ambria was a Protector not a Bandit. Therefore, sending Benjamin to the hospital was not because of him sustaining any injuries. Instead, it was to make sure he was not diseased by the lady he had chosen to mate with. Ambria did care for him and hoped that he could be 'refined' in his behavioral choices.
The lock up area in the kitchen for Benjamin lasted for only two days. No food, no sleep, no toilet. There was a reason for each.
When Ambria finally let him out, she explained.
Dear Benjamin, you have suffered humiliation for having no toilet. I have suffered much greater when you cheated. You have felt the burning ache in your stomach because of your lack of food. I have hurt much deeper in my heart. Your great need for sleep is paled compared to my need for love.
I made a mistake when I chose you. You are unworthy for the task my offspring and I must accomplish. You are free to go. When the infant I carry is born you may look upon it but do not touch. Good bye Benjamin.
With a broken heart himself because of Ambria's words, Benjamin took care of his needs and sulked in sorrow when he next awoke until the little one was born. It wasn't a long wait for Ambria gave birth that very night.
Little Bendayo came into the world and broke his father's heart. Looking upon his son, he knew he would regret his life of cheating for the rest of his days.
Leaving his dog behind to protect the family he still loved, he headed away to live in a new town, never to be heard from again.
Despite her aching heart, Ambria knew this was the only way to protect Bendayo as he grew up. There were secrets that needed to be told and skills that he needed to be taught. To have Benjamin, a man she could no longer trust, in the same house just would not work.
Putting on an optimistic smile upon her face, she faced the future with as much hope as she could then muster.
Ambria did learn later that Benjamin had not changed and hearts continued to be broken by him. Her decision had been the correct one. She had no regrets.

I would love to do that to my ex ;) I always feel for the poor sims that roll a single status. I would much rather make them happy than not. Love your story so far, it will be interesting to see how it all plays out over the 10 generations.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first rolled for Gen 1 and saw Single Parent roll I thought to kill off the mate in some terribly romantic tragedy. But when I saw his lifetime wish was to be a heart-breaker it just fell into place to do it something like this. Still sad, but at least he can live. :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, the single parent rolls are hard sometimes. I like to make my Sims happy too. But that's why I started doing this challenge, I got bored with just giving my Sims happy lives all the time.
ReplyDeleteI thought you were going to let Benjamin die in that cell. I'm glad you went this route instead. =D
I just love Ambria's explanation to Benjamin of why she put him in the cell and put him through that
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with Ali, love what she did! That should teach him!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the awesome comments. I thought in the beginning that he would die but then I got to thinking that her background has her as a Protector and not a Bandit. That being the case, killing him like that just wasn't in her nature. Though she probably thought about it some. lol I'm really glad you liked this chapter. :D
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately it did not teach him as further down the line it shows that he had a little girl with someone else. So he's still up to his old tricks.
